Will Elliott received his BA from the University of Washington (1949-54); his MM in Music Education from Central Washington U. (1961) and an Honorary Doctorate at VanderCook College - Chicago (1994). He taught general music & choral music in Seattle and Tacoma (1956-1969) and was Supervisor of Music there from 1960 to 1969.
At Boise State University, Will was Choral Director and Music Education Department Chair from 1970-1990. He was active in community musical events, singing solos and directing community choirs whenever needed. He was IMEA President, Idaho Choral Directors Association President, Northwest Music Educators President, and Northwest Choral Directors Association President. He served for many years as a clinician and as adjudicator throughout the United States and its Territories. Will was a member of Rotary International for 30 years, a member of the Boise Music Week Board, and was President of the Boise Philharmonic Association. He also received the Governor's Award for Support of the Arts. Will & Catherine have two sons and a daughter.
